Six-part wedding miniseries, covering the first 2 hours and 30 minutes to 1 hour and 50 minutes.

In the heart of the South Tyrolean Mountains, a unique wedding celebration unfolds in the six-episode series, "Lightning Wedding in the South Tyrolean Mountains." Directed by Grimme Prize winner Jan Georg Schütte, the series premieres at 22:20 on an unspecified date.

The wedding is not just a traditional affair; it serves as the launch for a new fashion company. The newlyweds, Jackie and Lukas, played by Luise von Finckh and Felix Kreutzer, find themselves at the centre of this live internet event.

However, the road to the altar is not smooth for our couple. In Episode 1, Jackie becomes increasingly nervous, while her mother and the fathers-in-law already feel like they're in paradise. Lukas, played by Elias Krischanitz, is determined to lead Jackie to the altar, but Debbie, the sister of Johann's late wife, loses her patience.

Debbie, portrayed by Antonia Preser, seizes the moment in Episode 6. The wedding vows, focused on the social media campaign, become a trap, and the truth about Debbie and her brother-in-law must finally come to light.

The series is improvised, with no scripts, only character profiles provided to the actors. Tobias Moretti plays the groom's father, who looks ahead to the big day with dark thunder for several reasons. Devid Striesow, Anja Kling, and Martin Brambach play the three-headed in-law front, adding to the wedding chaos.

Assisting Jackie and Lukas is Jackie's friend Simone, played by Lena Klenke. In Episode 2, Simone takes charge of the wedding, while in Episode 4, she presents a black skirt for Lukas and a daring white outfit for Jackie, complete with a sash of her lovers' credits.

The wedding is not without its unforeseen events. In Episode 5, nerves are frayed due to various unforeseen events. In the same episode, just before the priest arrives, Jackie makes a shocking confession. Sonja Romei, Josephine Bloéb, and Gustav Schmidt contribute to the wedding chaos in the series.

The video will be available until 05.09.2026 00:00. All episodes of "Lightning Wedding in the South Tyrolean Mountains" are available in the ARD Mediathek for viewers to enjoy. Don't miss out on this exciting and chaotic wedding celebration!
