Siegesmund has assumed the presidency of the BDE organization.

The German Association for Waste, Water, and Circular Economy (BDE) has a new managing president. Anja Siegesmund, a former member of the Green Party and the former Thuringian Minister of Environment, has assumed the office on June 3, 2023.

Siegesmund's tenure at the BDE began after a 16-month cooling-off period following her tenure as Minister in Thuringia. During this period, she had been acting alongside the BDE's vice-presidents, Herwart Wilms and Oliver Groß, and the acting managing president, Andreas Bruckschen.

Bruckschen has now stepped down from his role as the acting managing president, allowing Siegesmund to take up the position officially. Wilms and Groß continue to serve as vice-presidents of the BDE.

The BDE is an organization that deals with waste management, water management, and circular economy, with a focus on sustainable and efficient management of resources. With Siegesmund at the helm, the organization aims to continue its mission towards a more sustainable future.

Siegesmund's appointment comes after her successful tenure as the Chairwoman of the Board of the BDE in 2023. Prior to that, she served as the Managing President of the Federal Association of German Waste, Water, and Circular Economy (BDE).

The BDE has been operating with Bruckschen, Wilms, and Groß in recent months. With Siegesmund now at the helm, the organization looks forward to continued growth and success in its mission to promote sustainable waste, water, and circular economy practices.
