Collision in Cochem - Ship collides with Moselle bridge

No Fuel Leakage Dangers
After the collision, emergency responders worried if the tank would spill fuel and hazardous substances into the river. Thankfully, this fear decreased as the tank remained undamaged and no leakage was detected. The ship secured itself at a landing dock in Cochem where it'd stay for the rest of the day.
Cause of the Collision Remains a Mystery
There were no known injuries from the accident, as reported by the police. However, the specific reason behind this collision remains unknown. The water police investigators are still searching for answers, also considering if the damage to the bridge was a contributing factor.
