Storm Warning Issued for Moscow Region

Drivers and pedestrians in the Moscow region have been urged to exercise caution as a severe weather warning has been issued for the area. The warning, issued through a statement on Telegram by an unspecified agency, advises drivers to reduce speed, increase safe following distance, and avoid sudden maneuvers.

According to Meteorologist Alexei Volkov from the Moscow Weather Center, the weather warning is due to impending rain and thunderstorms forecasted for parts of the region on July 29th, between 00:00 and 22:00 (local time). The warning indicates potential wind gusts of up to 14 m/s.

Mikhail Leus, the leading specialist at the "Fobos" weather center, has stated that the atmospheric situation is set to change soon. He attributes this change to a blocking anticyclone that has been maintaining hot weather in the Moscow area for five consecutive days, preventing rare clouds from transitioning into rain.

In light of the weather warning, families with children are urged to be extra vigilant. The agency recommends not leaving children unattended during the storm. Pedestrians are advised to carefully select a shelter from the storm, avoiding billboards, unstable structures, and trees.

The weather warning is in effect from July 29th, starting at midnight, until 10:00 PM (local time). Meteorologist Volkov urges special caution for pedestrians and drivers in the coming hours due to the threatening severe weather warning. He advises everyone to stay safe and follow the advice given by the emergency services.
