Severe motorcycle collision on Autobahn A3, Laaber

On Saturday, August 23, 2025, at approximately 6:05 PM, a severe motorcycle accident occurred on the A3 between Laaber and Nittendorf heading towards Passau.

The accident involved a 59-year-old man from Straubing who lost control of his motorcycle for unknown reasons. The man veered off the road to the left and collided with the central reservation barrier.

Following drivers were able to stop in time, preventing a chain-reaction collision. However, the motorcycle was written off, and damages are estimated at around 15,000 Euro.

After the collision, the man fell onto the roadway and lay between the lanes. Traffic was diverted at the Laaber exit, and the road towards Passau was closed for approximately one hour.

Police, emergency services, and firefighters from Laaber and Beratzhausen were on the scene. The 59-year-old man sustained serious injuries in the accident and was airlifted to a Regensburg hospital by a rescue helicopter.

Regensburg Traffic Police / TR was involved in the incident. However, the man has not yet been able to provide details about the accident. No further details about the accident have been provided by the 59-year-old man.
