Seventeen businesses now eligible for start-up pre-seed funding under BW Pre-Seed program
The Start-up BW Pre-Seed early-stage funding program, a joint initiative between the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism and the L-Bank, has approved funding for 17 new companies. These start-ups, each with an innovative character, can now formally apply for admission to the program.
The central decision-making body for funding eligibility includes representatives from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, L-Bank, mentor partners, and state-owned companies or state-affiliated participations. Each selected company will undergo mentoring by a mentor partner as a requirement for funding.
The High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), a co-investor, is required to contribute between 40,000 euros and 160,000 euros per company. In exceptional cases, the total funding can be doubled to a maximum of 640,000 euros. The funding amount per company is typically 160,000 euros.
Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, the minister for Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism, expressed hope for the economic future of Baden-Württemberg due to these start-ups. Edith Weymayr, L-Bank Chairwoman, urged all companies to submit their funding application as soon as possible.
The selected companies are diverse in their founding projects. From groundbreaking technology to innovative services, these start-ups represent the vibrant and dynamic business landscape of Baden-Württemberg. The start-up must maintain a Baden-Württemburg connection throughout the funding period, reflecting the program's commitment to fostering local entrepreneurship.
The liquidity needs of start-ups are particularly high in their early founding phase. The Start-up BW Pre-Seed program supports young companies in their early stages, providing them with the necessary resources to grow and succeed.
For those innovative companies that missed the chance to be funded, it's not too late. The program is open for applications, and the L-Bank encourages all eligible start-ups to submit their applications as soon as possible.
Contact information for the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism is available through the Press Office and Citizen's Representative.
