Freiburg, Germany - The Freiburg Police Headquarters are currently investigating a jewelry theft that took place on Sunday, February 9, 2025. According to a statement from the Police Headquarters Freiburg, transmitted via news aktuell, a 79-year-old woman was the victim of the theft around 5:20 PM in the main street near a pharmacy in Freiburg.
The unknown woman allegedly approached the elderly victim without her consent, hanging cheap jewelry on her before stealing a gold chain worth approximately 500 euros from around her neck. The method used in the theft was a deceptive trick involving jewelry, known as the necklace trick.
