Senelec and Orange Senegal unite to revolutionize digital infrastructure

Senelec and Orange Senegal have joined forces to drive digital innovation in the country's key infrastructure sectors. The partnership, officially launched on February 19, 2026, focuses on modernising systems and improving service delivery through advanced technology.

The agreement was signed by Senelec CEO Papa Toby Gaye and Orange Senegal CEO Brelotte Ba. Both leaders emphasised their commitment to using digital solutions for economic growth and better customer experiences.

The collaboration targets six main areas: shared infrastructure, IT upgrades, stronger cybersecurity, digital customer services, innovation, and artificial intelligence. The goal is to boost resilience, cut operational delays, and simplify internal processes.

While the partnership is still in its early stages—just two weeks old—specific results in efficiency, security, and customer service have yet to be reported. Both companies plan to combine their expertise and digital tools to enhance service quality and responsiveness.

This alliance marks a step toward transforming Senegal's infrastructure through technology. Over time, the partnership aims to deliver measurable improvements in system reliability, operational speed, and customer satisfaction. The focus remains on long-term digital advancement across critical sectors.
