Accident Involving Cyclist and Car in Ludwigsburg
On June 26, 2025, a traffic accident occurred in Ludwigsburg, involving a group of nine cyclists and a 52-year-old Renault driver. The incident took place at around 13:50 along a bike path in Bottwartalstraße, near Marbacher Straße.
The accident resulted in severe injuries to a 70-year-old e-bike rider, who was part of the group of cyclists intending to cross Marbacher Straße at a bike crossing. The cyclist was immediately taken to hospital for treatment.
The Renault involved in the accident was no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away. The total material damage caused by the accident is estimated to be around 3,500 euros.
The Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters, led by Chief Commissioner Roland Ulrich, is investigating the incident.
