Security personnel at a retail store apprehended thieves attempting to steal from customers.
In a recent incident, a 47-year-old woman from Bielefeld fell victim to a pickpocketing in the food court of the shopping centre located at Bahnhofstraße and Stresemannstraße. The incident occurred at 12:20 PM.
The woman's handbag, containing her wallet, was next to her when a pickpocket approached unnoticed from behind and removed her wallet. The suspect, a 50-year-old man with Spanish citizenship, made his way towards the escalator after stealing the wallet.
Fortunately, the suspect was intercepted by detectives and subsequently alerted the police. The suspect was taken into custody by patrol officers and a criminal complaint was filed against him.
