The Adriatic coast hides some of its most stunning beaches in quiet corners, far from summer crowds. From Montenegro's wild stretches of sand to Albania's secluded coves, these spots offer clear waters, untouched nature and a slower pace. Many remain little-known even as peak season fades. In Montenegro, Velika Plaza runs for over 13 kilometres along the southern coast. Its natural dunes and lagoons provide shelter for migratory birds, drawing mostly locals outside July and August. Nearby, the Saline Ulcinj salt pans cover 1,500 hectares and support over 250 bird species, making it one of the region's most important nature reserves.
