Search for missing Alexandria resident necessitates police efforts, aerial support invoked

The Alexandria Police Department has launched a search for a critical missing person named Charles Davon Finley. The department issued a missing person alert on social media at 3:12 a.m. Friday, urging immediate assistance from the public.

Charles Davon Finley, a 5 feet 7 inches tall man weighing 160 pounds, was last seen walking on the north side of the 300 block of Wythe Street. He has black hair and brown eyes.

The police department has not revealed why the case is classified as critical, nor have they released additional details about the circumstances surrounding Finley's disappearance. However, they have urged anyone with information about Finley's whereabouts to call 911 immediately.

In an effort to aid the search efforts, Fairfax One, the Fairfax County Police helicopter, was deployed during the early morning hours. The Alexandria Police Department's officers are currently searching for Finley, and the department has encouraged those with non-emergency tips to contact them at 703-746-4444.
