Mario Brandenburg, the Commissioner for Transfer and Exploitation of Science at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, has welcomed a new member to his team. Lisa Schwietzke, who previously served as the head of the parliamentary office for Ria Schröder MdB at the German Bundestag, is now an advisor to Commissioner Brandenburg.

Before her tenure at the German Bundestag, which began in 2018, Lisa Schwietzke worked as a curator and exhibition organizer at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin. Her work at the Bundestag was focused on the Committee on Education and Research, one of the committees where Ria Schröder MdB serves.

As head of the parliamentary office, Lisa Schwietzke reported directly to Ria Schröder MdB. Now, she reports directly to Parliamentary State Secretary Mario Brandenburg, who is also the Commissioner for Transfer and Exploitation of Science at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Commissioner Brandenburg, like Lisa Schwietzke, is a member of the FDP.

Ria Schröder MdB, too, is a member of the Committee on Education and Research at the German Bundestag. This is one of the committees where she serves. The Committee on Education and Research is one of the key bodies responsible for shaping education policy in Germany.

Lisa Schwietzke's role at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research is to reinforce the team in Berlin. Her expertise in knowledge and technology transfer, honed during her time at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt and the German Bundestag, is expected to be invaluable in this new capacity.

The Commissioner for Transfer and Exploitation of Science at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research reports to the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. This reporting structure ensures a close alignment between the commissioner's work and the government's education policies.

With Lisa Schwietzke's addition to the team, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research is well-positioned to continue its work in promoting scientific research and its practical applications for the benefit of the German public.
