Schwende allocates CHF 24,414 to upgrade water and heritage sites

The Schwende district has announced new funding for local infrastructure and heritage projects. A total of CHF 24,414 will go towards upgrading drinking water and fire-suppression pipelines. Additional funds have also been set aside for the restoration of protected cultural sites.

The district council has approved CHF 24,414 to modernise water pipelines in the region. These improvements are part of the broader Rüte Wassergesellschaft project, though the exact administrative body overseeing the work remains unclear. Typically, such projects in Swiss municipalities are managed by local authorities or regional water utilities.

The upgrades to water pipelines aim to improve both drinking water supply and fire safety in Schwende. Meanwhile, the heritage funding will help maintain the district’s historic buildings. The next steps rely on coordination with additional funding sources before work can begin.
