School Fairtrade Day Holds Its Debut in Aschaffenburg
Registration for the Fairtrade Day for Schools, an enlightening event for students and teachers, is now open and will run until October 24, 2025. The day will take place at Martinushaus, Treibgasse 26, in the city of Aschaffenburg, from 9:30 - 12:30.
This event, organised in partnership with the Aschaffenburg World Shop and Martinushaus, is open to students from all school types in the city and district of Aschaffenburg. Eight students and two teachers per school can participate, with a maximum of approximately 150 students.
The Fairtrade Day for Schools aims to provide answers to questions about SDGs, the connection between chocolate and environmental damage, the distribution of world population and income, and the impact of colonialism. It will feature workshops for students and a round of exchange for teachers, offering a unique opportunity for learning and networking.
Participation in the event is open to schools whether or not they are already Fairtrade Schools. Interested schools can learn about the "Fairtrade School" campaign during the event.
