Scene from the Garden Boundary
The Rhineland region is set to host the "Open Garden Gates" action once again, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore a variety of gardens across the region. The event will take place over four weekends: May 16-17, June 20-21, July 18-19, and September 19-20.
For those residing in the southern and northern Rhineland, there are separate registration processes. Düsseldorf garden owners, for instance, will register for the northern Rhineland. The registration process is online and can be accessed at www.offene-gardenpforte-rheinland.de.
The Stiftung Schloss Dyck is responsible for the registration of garden owners in the Rhineland. Participating garden owners, whether commercial or private, will receive brochures and posters to promote their gardens. The participation fee varies; private gardens pay €25, while commercial gardens, farm shops, garden cafés, garden construction businesses, and similar establishments pay €100.
The first weekend, May 16-17, allows visitors to see the first spring blooms, while the last weekend, September 19-20, offers the first autumn impressions. The gardens included in the action range from private gardens to commercial gardens, farm shops, garden cafés, and garden construction businesses.
Participating garden owners can use the brochures and posters received freely to promote their gardens during the event. The brochures provide detailed information about each garden, including its location and opening times.
Whether you're a gardening enthusiast or simply looking for a day out, the Open Garden Gates Rhineland offers a chance to explore the region's beautiful gardens and support local businesses. So, mark your calendars and get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant colours of spring and the tranquil hues of autumn.
