Saxony’s KORA Center Expands Fight Against All Forms of Radicalization

Saxony’s fight against extremism now has a central hub. The Coordination and Counseling Center for Radicalization Prevention, known as KORA, leads efforts to tackle all forms of radicalisation. Since 2023, its work has extended beyond Islamist extremism to cover every ideological threat.

KORA operates under the Saxony State Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, and Social Cohesion. It partners with other ministries, the Democracy Center Saxony, and the Radicalization Counseling Service of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). Cases flagged to BAMF in Saxony are directed to KORA’s network for support.

KORA’s approach combines tailored interventions with broad prevention strategies. Its partnerships with expert organisations ensure support reaches individuals, families, and institutions. The initiative remains Saxony’s primary resource for countering radicalisation in all its forms.
