In a recent development, French President Emmanuel Macron has called for the Palestinian representation to be ensured according to the Host Country Agreement, a move that has sparked controversy. This call comes after the US decision to deny visas to Palestinian Authority officials, a decision that has been met with deep regret and astonishment by the Palestinian Authority chairman, Mahmoud Abbas's office.

However, Gideon Sa'ar, the Foreign Minister of Israel, has criticized Macron's intervention, stating that he is trying to intervene in a conflict to which he is not a party and is disconnected from the current reality. Sa'ar further considered Macron's actions to be dangerous and believed they would not bring peace or security.

Sa'ar also accused Macron of not protesting against Palestinian incitement in the education system and payments to terrorists and their families, a claim that has added fuel to the fire. He went on to say that Europe must choose between Israel and Hamas, a stark statement that reflects the growing tension.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for their decision to deny visas to those who glorify terror. The US-Israel cooperation has been instrumental in pushing back the Iranian nuclear threat, according to Netanyahu's statement.

On the other hand, other countries like France, Canada, Australia, Germany, Spain, and the UK have shown support for the Palestinian Authority or the recognition of a Palestinian state and oppose such visa restrictions. Gideon Sa'ar did not make any statements regarding his response to the latest antisemitic vandalism, keeping the focus on the diplomatic tussle.

Sa'ar stated that a Palestinian state would be an act of suicide, a viewpoint that adds complexity to the already volatile situation. He also claimed that Macron's actions undermine regional stability and push the regional and international system towards unilateral steps.

As the situation continues to unfold, it is clear that the tension between France and Israel over the Palestinian issue is far from over. Both sides seem entrenched in their positions, and it remains to be seen how this situation will evolve in the coming days.
