The arena is filled with people sitting in the stands, and there are boards with text around the court. At the top of the image, there is a ceiling with lights and a screen, indicating that the game is taking place in a stadium. The text on the boards likely reads "Asvel vs Galatasaray", suggesting that this is a match between the two teams.

Ryder Cup 2024 erupts in chaos as fans, stars, and Trump fuel tensions

The 2024 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black saw heated moments both on and off the course. Players and spectators clashed, with verbal outbursts, ejections, and even a beer-throwing incident. The event's tense atmosphere extended beyond the fairways, involving high-profile figures like Donald Trump and Rory McIlroy.

The tournament began with Europe's team taunting former US President Donald Trump. In a video sent to his Truth Social account, players chanted, 'Are you watching, are you watching, are you watching, Donald Trump?' Trump replied at 2.40am UK time with a simple message: 'Yes, I'm watching. Congratulations!'

On the course, tensions flared repeatedly. Rory McIlroy faced persistent boos and heckles from the crowd. At one point, he snapped at a spectator, telling them to *'shut the f**k up.'* His teammate Shane Lowry had to be restrained by his caddie after attempting to confront another heckler. McIlroy later revealed that his wife, Erica, had beer thrown at her, though she was unharmed. Security removed multiple spectators for disruptive behaviour. One incident involved Heather McMahan, who led a chant of *'f**k you Rory'* before issuing a public apology. McIlroy, reflecting on the heavy security presence, joked, *'I wish they had let the dogs off the leashes.'* The rivalry wasn't limited to fans and players. Bryson DeChambeau confronted Justin Rose after Rose asked DeChambeau's caddie to move while lining up a putt. The exchange added to the event's combative atmosphere. No additional measures by the PGA of America were reported beyond McMahan's resignation to address misconduct during the tournament.

The Ryder Cup ended with Europe's victory but left behind a trail of confrontations. Players, officials, and spectators all played a role in the event's charged environment. The PGA of America has yet to announce further steps to prevent similar incidents in future competitions.
