Russian forces in Crimea under assault by Ukrainian troops

In a series of events that are yet to be independently confirmed, the Ukrainian military has claimed to have carried out attacks against Russian units on the Crimean peninsula.

According to reports from the Ukrinform agency, citing sources from Ukraine's military intelligence service HUR, combat drones were used in an attack on a base near Simferopol, destroying at least three helicopters. The operation targeted a Russian radar station, according to the same reports.

Moreover, it is alleged that the attack also destroyed the radar guidance system and other components of a Russian S-400 air defense system. Another incident, reportedly occurred at a radar station on the Crimean peninsula, where several rockets were fired, reportedly destroying at least six air-cushioned landing ships at a base in Voloschino on the coast.

These claims have not been confirmed by the Russian side, with no reports from them regarding these incidents. A short video clip, which cannot be independently verified, shows a drone approaching a radar dome, adding to the speculation.

It is important to note that independent verification of these incidents is not possible at this time. However, the Ukrainian intelligence agency SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) has confirmed that it carried out the attacks on the Crimean Bridge, although no specific individual or military unit names have been publicly disclosed for the Ukrainian forces conducting attacks on the occupied Crimean Peninsula.

Military reports suggest a rocket strike on a base near Simferopol and another on a base in Voloschino, but the impact on barracks in Simferopol is unknown. Other components of a Russian S-400 air defense system were also reportedly destroyed in these attacks.

As the situation continues to develop, it is crucial to maintain a clear and factual understanding of the events as they unfold. Further updates and confirmations are expected to provide a more comprehensive picture of the situation.
