Russian authorities reported the interception of 46 Ukrainian drones overnight.
In a significant development, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the interception and destruction of 46 Ukrainian drones over three Russian regions – Bryansk, Smolensk, and Leningrad – between midnight and 06:00 Moscow time, according to a statement made by Yuri Slyusar in Moscow.
The drones were reportedly shot down in various districts across the Rostov region, including Novoshakhtinsk, Kamensk, Semikarakorsk, Millerovsky, Tarasovsky, Krasnosulinsky, Dubovsky, and Sholokhovsky. Two enemy drones were also shot down over the territory of the Volgograd region.
Interestingly, four enemy drones were also reported to have been shot down over the territory of the Krasnodar region. Preliminary reports suggest no casualties were reported in these incidents.
In a concerning incident, falling drone fragments sparked dry grass fires in the Rostov region. However, these fires were quickly extinguished, and no new reports of drone-related fires outside the Rostov region were mentioned.
The acting governor, Yuri Slyusar, confirmed no injuries in the incidents. The report was published by RIA "Novyi Den" in 2025. Notably, 16 enemy drones were shot down over the Black Sea, but no new locations for drone destruction or interception were mentioned in the report.
The source of the information is Zoya Oskolkova. As of now, no new reports of drone-related casualties have been mentioned. The location of the report is not specified beyond Moscow.
