Drug Operation Thwarted in Adler, Krasnodar
A drug operation was successfully thwarted in the city of Adler, Krasnodar, late last night. The operation was conducted by employees of Rosgvardiya, the Russian National Guard.
The incident unfolded on Estonian Street when a patrol of off-duty guards noticed a suspicious individual searching through bushes. Upon seeing the patrol car, the suspect attempted to flee, but was promptly apprehended by the guards.
Upon searching the suspect, a polymer bag wrapped in duct tape was found on his person. The substance inside the bag was later identified as mephedrone, a synthetic stimulant drug. The weight of the mephedrone found was 0.43 grams.
The suspect in the operation is a 30-year-old man who had arrived from the Chelyabinsk region. He is currently in detention.
Colonel Andrei Loginov, the head of the Main Directorate of the Rosgvardiya for Krasnodar Krai, hailed the operation as a success. Colonel Loginov is known for his successful crackdown on illegal drug operations in the region.
The suspect was handed over to the police officers for further investigation. The incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
