RTS London Convention 2024 unveils star-studded lineup with Netflix as sponsor
The Royal Television Society (RTS) has revealed the full programme for its 2024 London Convention. The event, set for September 17th at Kings Place London, will feature high-profile speakers from media, politics, and entertainment. Netflix has been named as the principal sponsor of this year's gathering. The convention will open with a keynote from the RT Hon Lisa Nandy MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Media & Sport. She is expected to outline her plans for supporting the UK's creative industries. Anna Mallett, Vice President of Production for EMEA/UK at Netflix, will chair the event, guiding discussions across the day.
Among the newly confirmed speakers is Rachel Corp, CEO of ITN. She joins a lineup that includes Dame Melanie Dawes, Chief Executive of Ofcom, and CΓ©cile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios and Chief Content Officer of Sky. A highlight of the programme will be a conversation between David Beckham and Jane Featherstone, Co-Founder and CCO of SISTER.
The RTS London Convention 2024 has also received accreditation from the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Standards Office. This recognition ensures attendees can count their participation towards professional training requirements. The event brings together leaders from broadcasting, streaming, and government to discuss the future of television and media. With Netflix as the main sponsor and a diverse range of speakers, the convention aims to address key challenges and opportunities in the industry. Delegates will have the chance to engage with policymakers, executives, and creators in one of the sector's most anticipated annual gatherings.
