Road shutdown on Bonn route from July 14 to August 22

Stadtwerke Hürth AöR Servicecenter Mobilität has announced temporary changes to lines 714 and 720 due to a renovation project on Bonnstraße in Fischenich.

Line 714 Changes

During the closure period, line 714 will terminate at the "Kalscheuren Winterstraße" stop. The stops "Fischenich (Stadtbahn)", "Fischenich Meschenicher Straße", and "Fischenich Süd" will not be served. Passengers are advised to check the updated construction timetable for Line 714.

Line 720 Changes

From July 28th, 2025, line 720 will operate a detour and will not be able to serve the "Vorgebirgsstraße" stop in both directions. In the direction of Hermülheim (Stadtbahn), line 720 will also not serve the "Rosellenplatz" stop. Temporary stops will be set up on Vorgebirgsstraße and "An der Fuhr" for line 720 during the detour.

The Bonnstraße, between Nußallee and the train station Fischenich, will be closed from July 14th to approximately August 22nd, 2025, for the renovation project by Straßen.NRW. The responsible party for the asphalt work is typically the local municipal public works department or a contracted construction company, but specific names would be available from the municipal authorities in Fischenich or the county office.

Alternative Transport Options

During the summer holidays, the Hüpper service will continue to be available for stops in Fischenich and Kendenich to the "Kalscheuren Bahnhof" stop to ensure connection to regional transport. Bookings for the Hüpper service can be made via app or phone.
