As of October 18, 2020, there have been 307 cases reported, with 134 individuals residing in Neuss, 38 in Grevenbroich, 36 in Dormagen, 32 in Meerbusch, 30 in Kaarst, 17 in Korschenbroich, 10 in JΓΌchen, and 10 in Rommerskirchen.

The 7-day incidence rate of the Landeszentrum Gesundheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LZG) for the Rhein-Kreis Neuss has surpassed 50 for the first time, currently standing at 51.8. Consequently, the Rhein-Kreis Neuss has issued a new general decree, accessible online.

The new decree enforces stricter measures to combat the rising cases. In public outdoor areas where maintaining the minimum distance is not feasible, it is mandatory to wear a mouth and nose covering, particularly in pedestrian zones and the Zons old town area. The operation of gastronomic establishments and the sale of alcoholic beverages are prohibited between 23:00 and 6:00.

The maximum permitted group size in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss area has been temporarily increased to 10 people for events, deviating from the usual limit of five. However, for everyday gatherings, the limit remains at five people.

The number of coronavirus-related fatalities in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss area remains at 27. As of the latest update, there are 26 hospitalized individuals due to coronavirus infection in the area.
