Revised ODI player rankings reveal 39-year-old all-rounder as the top-ranked player
Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe has taken the top spot in the men's One Day International (ODI) all-rounder rankings, surpassing Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai. Raza's impressive performances in Zimbabwe's recent series against Sri Lanka have propelled him to this prestigious position, boasting a rating of over 300 points.
In the second match of the series, Raza showcased his batting prowess with an unbeaten 59. In the opening game, he took 1-48 with the ball and scored a commendable 92, further cementing his position as a formidable all-rounder.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan holds the third spot in the rankings with a rating of 292 points. Other notable players in the top 10 include Shubman Gill of India (784 points), Virat Kohli (736 points), and Charith Asalanka of Sri Lanka (716 points).
In the batting rankings, Shubman Gill led the way on September 3, 2025, with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shai Hope of the West Indies close behind. Keshav Maharaj of South Africa, with his impressive 4-22 against England, has taken the top spot in the ODI bowler rankings.
The ODI rankings have seen some significant shifts in the past week. Among the top winners, Ben Curran of Zimbabwe rose 71 spots, while Janith Liyanage of Sri Lanka and Dilshan Madushanka climbed 13 and 15 spots respectively. On the other hand, Brian Bennett and Pathum Nissanka saw a dip, falling 11 and 7 spots respectively.
Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, JJ Smit, and Wiaan Mulder also made impressive strides in the all-rounder rankings, while Matt Henry, Kuldeep Yadav, and Maheesh Theekshana maintained their positions in the top 10 of the ODI bowling rankings.
Notably, Raza's teammate, Ben Curran, made back-to-back half-centuries against Sri Lanka and moved up to No.90 in the ODI batter rankings.
