Summer Festival at Blaue Fabrik: A Weekend of Diverse Entertainment

The Artists' Association Blaue Fabrik is gearing up for an exciting summer festival at the Old Leipzig Station on Eisenbahnstraße. The event, which takes place from Friday, August 22, to Sunday, August 24, 2025, promises a weekend filled with music, dance, performance, and artistic presentations.

The festival kicks off on Friday at 6 pm with "Songs for Swinging Lovers" performing a mix of jazz classics, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Broadway musicals, and rhythm & blues. Saxophone Trio Color will follow at 7 pm, playing a variety of Baroque, film music, jazz, and pop. New Town Swing Orchestra will take the stage at 8 pm, while Traxxter brings handmade pop, Eurodance, and hip-hop from the 90s at 11 pm. In between, you can catch Crime Jazz Orchestra delivering dark ambient-noise-crime jazz at 10 pm.

On Saturday, the festival continues with Balkaneros presenting Balkan brass at 9 pm, followed by Poly Ghost playing synth and indie pop at 11 pm. The day starts with a student concert led by Nils Heinrich at 3 pm, followed by TheHelHeinArtCollective at 4 pm. Carl Friedrich TangoConnection will perform at 7 pm, and El Patio Flamenco will present a flamenco show at 6 pm. The evening concludes with Medium Sized Ensemble combining funk, stadium jazz, uneven rock grooves, and impressionistic string interludes at 8 pm.

Holger Knaack, the director of Blaue Fabrik, has mentioned that drinks and grilled food will be served throughout the festival. Admission to the festival is free for all days.
