In the early hours of yesterday, a nighttime accident occurred at the water intake station in Sochi, causing disruptions to the city's water supply. The responsible authority for this incident is typically the local emergency services or municipal water management authority, but the specific name of the person or agency involved has not been publicly detailed.

The accident affected approximately 30 streets in Sochi, leaving them without water. However, some microdistricts, such as Matsesta and Blagodat, have already had their water supply fully restored. Unfortunately, the water supply in the microdistricts of Adler and Svetlana remains partially restored, with efforts ongoing to fully reestablish service.

Despite the accident, the Mzymta water intake and the Don pumping station in Sochi have not been affected. The Mzymta water intake is operating normally, and the Don pumping station has been launched, with its operation in Sochi currently at 27%.

Water delivery is ongoing in certain areas, including Yasnaya Gora 16/6, Transportnaya 78/8 (Magnit), Vododerel'naya 12-14 (between houses), and Zvezdnaya 5 (Primorsky Farm). However, water delivery is not currently ongoing at these same locations.

To address the water shortage, the Sochi Water Canal is currently filling the system to help restore water supply to the affected areas as quickly as possible. The authorities are working diligently to restore full water supply to all affected microdistricts, and updates will be provided as the situation develops.
