Restaurant El Talpense Has Opened Its Doors in Lafayette, California

In the heart of Lafayette, a new dining destination has emerged, as El Talpense Mexican Restaurant has opened its doors at 3576 Mount Diablo Boulevard. Taking over the former Lavash spot, El Talpense brings a vibrant and authentic flavour of Mexico to the community.

El Talpense offers a wide range of traditional Mexican dishes, including enchiladas, tacos, tamales, chile relleno, and more. For those seeking heartier options, the "Super Burrito" section of the menu features carne asada, pollo asado, carnitas, shrimp, and more, enclosed in a generous wrap.

Lunchgoers can choose from large and small combinations, featuring their favourite dishes, while lighter meals are available in the form of salads and soups such as albóndigas and tortilla soup. Appetizers include nachos, quesadillas, jalapeño poppers, and larger plates like fajitas and botanas.

The new restaurant has maintained much of the previous layout of Lavash, including its popular sidewalk terrace. Colorful papel picado banners decorate both the interior and exterior of the restaurant, adding a touch of Mexican culture and charm.

This is the second location for El Talpense, following its original site in Berkeley. The founder or owner of the Lafayette location remains undisclosed at this time.

Apart from the exciting addition of El Talpense, the Lafayette dining scene is set to welcome another eatery soon. Abe's Cafe is expected to open soon, offering smoothies and bagels.
