Restart of DAX in September emphasizing on Rheinmetall, Mutares, Teamviewer, precious metals gold, and silver.
September may not be a favourite month for investors, according to IG Markets expert Christian Henke, but October could bring an impressive final quarter, often referred to as the "golden autumn."
Investors are keeping a close eye on the stock of Teamviewer, with the DAX, the German benchmark index, being traded slightly higher in early trading. The DAX is currently valued at 0.2 percent higher at 23,952 points, close to reaching its record from mid-July at 24,639 points.
The Bank of America has upgraded Teamviewer's title from "Underperform" to "Buy" twice, indicating a positive outlook for the company.
Meanwhile, trading in the USA and Canada is closed due to Labor Day, with the USA's trading set to start late on Monday due to the holiday.
In other news, the cybersecurity sector in Europe is seeing a boom, with companies such as Darktrace and those under DORA and NIS-2 being potential candidates to become the EU's equivalent of Palantir. However, no single private company has been officially recognised as such yet, with the EU empowering agencies like ENISA to coordinate cybersecurity resilience efforts.
Elsewhere, defense companies Rheinmetall, Hensoldt, and Renk are once again in a strong position.
In a separate development, Mutares has completed the takeover of Fuentes from the Lineage Group. This news comes after the CIO of the SDAX company, Johannes Laumann, was interviewed by DER AKTIONΓR a few weeks ago.
As we look forward to the week ahead, investors will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on these developments and more.
