In the early morning hours, a powerful blast rocked a home on Gartenstraße in Baden-Württemberg. A police spokesperson commented, "When emergency personnel arrived, the building was fully engulfed in flames."

Amazingly, the injured resident managed to escape the burning remains of his house despite his serious injuries.

Burn victim hospitalized

Emergency responders rushed the elderly man to a specialized healthcare facility. The police rep remarked, "He had sustained severe burns over his entire body."

Firefighters remained on the scene for hours, working to extinguish the fire. The local Schwäbische Zeitung reported that nearby houses had been damaged due to the immense heat generated by the blaze.

Investigators from the criminal investigation department estimate the overall damages to be around 300,000 euros. The fire investigators are currently attempting to determine the cause of the explosion.
