Residential Fire Incident
A residential fire broke out in a multi-family building on Willi-Graf-StraΓe in Euskirchen-Kuchenheim on August 21st, at 10:40 PM. The incident is currently being investigated by the Euskirchen police as a case of negligent arson.
According to reports, the fire started in the living room of an apartment, caused by a heater fan that was turned on in the room. The 60-year-old resident of the apartment was alerted to the fire by the smoke alarm and immediately contacted the fire department.
Neighbours responded to the smoke alarm and bravely extinguished the fire with a bucket of water before the fire department arrived. Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire.
The apartment has been seized by authorities for further investigation, and the resident is cooperating with the police. The apartment is currently deemed temporarily uninhabitable.
