A fire incident occurred in a communal accommodation in Delmenhorst, Germany, on Friday evening. The blaze started in the basement of the building, but thanks to the swift action of the fire department, it was quickly contained and did not spread further.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. The residents were evacuated from the building and moved to another accommodation as a precautionary measure.

In the aftermath of the incident, the residents of the communal building in Delmenhorst have been relocated to the vacant communal accommodation in the Hulsberg quarter in Bremen. Specifically, they have been housed in lightweight halls at St.-Jürgen-Straße, which are currently being used as temporary housing for refugees. The contract for this facility is set to expire on December 31, 2025.

The fire department's quick response prevented the fire from causing any known damage beyond the evacuation of the building. The residents are being supported as they adjust to their new temporary accommodation and await further updates on the status of their communal accommodation in Delmenhorst.
