Republican and Democratic congressmen hold a press conference alongside Epstein victims, pressing for the disclosure of pertinent documents

On Wednesday morning, Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) will hold a press conference to demand the release of files from Jeffrey Epstein's case. The press conference, scheduled for 10:30 a.m., will see ten alleged victims of Epstein, who was charged with child sex trafficking, in attendance.

The purpose of the press conference is to call for the release of the Epstein files, aiming for a full closure on the matter. Rep. Khanna stated that the victims will tell their stories, shedding light on the implications of the case and the need for transparency.

This push for transparency is not new. In July, Reps. Massie and Khanna introduced a resolution to require the release of all unclassified records from the cases of Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell. Speaker Johnson adjourned the House at that time as the representatives tried to force the files' release. However, Speaker Johnson refused to participate in what he deemed as Democrats' "political games."

Despite Speaker Johnson's stance, Rep. Massie has not given up. He wrote on Twitter that he prays Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) of the House of Representatives will listen to the pleas of these victims for justice and quit trying to block a vote on their legislation to release the Epstein files.

President Donald Trump has also expressed frustration over the attention given to Epstein. During a July cabinet meeting, he said, "You're asking - We have Texas, we have this, we have all of the things we - And are people still talking about this guy, this creep? That is unbelievable."

It is worth noting that many of these victims have never spoken about the matter publicly before. The press conference on September 8 may mark a significant step towards bringing these stories to light and seeking justice for the victims.

The press conference will provide an opportunity for the public to hear directly from the victims and understand the importance of the release of the Epstein files. Rep. Massie stated, "We all deserve to know what's in the Epstein files, who's implicated, and how deep this corruption goes."

Stay tuned for updates from the press conference on Wednesday morning.
