Renowned Italian fashion mogul, Giorgio Armani, is privately mourned at his funeral ceremony

It was reported that Armani would be cremated and his ashes laid to rest in a family chapel in Rivalta. However, no official confirmation was given regarding the arrangements for Armani's remains.

Armani's wooden casket was put on display at his headquarters in Milan over the weekend, attracting thousands of people. As a mark of respect for the designer, Armani stores closed on Monday afternoon. Milan and Piacenza held a day of mourning for Giorgio Armani.

Just before his passing, Armani was working on a retrospective exhibition and a fashion show to celebrate 50 years of being in business, during Milan Fashion Week in late September. No changes to the program for Armani's retrospective exhibition and fashion show have been announced by his company.
