Enginsight Appoints René Claus as Channel Territory Manager

Enginsight, a German security software provider based in Jena, has announced the appointment of René Claus as their Channel Territory Manager, effective from June 1st.

René Claus brings a wealth of experience to Enginsight, having spent over fifteen years in the IT industry. He began his career in 2005 at value-added distributor ADN. Prior to joining Enginsight, he held a similar position at Eset for five years and drove the channel business at Sophos for over two years.

In the second half of 2023, Claus was Sales Director MSP EMEA at Arcserve. Beyond this, information about his role or involvement at Arcserve was not provided. However, it is known that he has been actively involved in the IT service provider association CompTIA for the past one and a half years, serving as Vice Chair.

Enginsight, founded in 2017 in Jena, has expanded its sales and marketing team with this new appointment. The company distributes its completely in-house developed security software through IT service providers, targeting SMEs. This announcement comes at an exciting time for Enginsight, as they now offer their own SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solution, marking a significant expansion of their product offerings.

Claus will be driving indirect sales at Enginsight. In addition to this, Enginsight has also announced partnerships with Tarox and comTeam, further strengthening their position in the market.

It is worth noting that there has been no new information about René Claus's involvement in the 3rd CompTIA Community Meeting, scheduled for March 2024, or any other new positions at Enginsight.

Enginsight was originally founded in Hamburg, Germany, but later relocated to Jena. Despite this, the city of Hamburg remains an important part of the company's history.

This appointment is a strategic move for Enginsight, bringing on board an experienced industry professional to help drive their growth and success in the competitive security software market.
