Renault Group Names Alexis Chalopin as New Director for European Affairs

Chalopin, who holds degrees from Sciences Po and the London School of Economics, specializing in European affairs and political economy, has a rich background in public policy. He began his career as a public policy evaluator at Ernst & Young before moving on to roles primarily focused on sales and trade.
His most notable stint was during France's presidency of the European Council, where he worked on improving European public policies as part of the General Secretariat for European Affairs. Before joining Renault Group, Chalopin served as an advisor on industry and innovation for the French representation to the European Union since 2023.
Chalopin's experience in institutions and public policy, coupled with his expertise in the decarbonization of industry, makes him an ideal fit for Renault Group. The company, a leader in electric mobility in Europe, is working towards respecting the decarbonization goals set out in the Paris Agreement and is contributing to the development of conditions for maintaining the automotive industry's competitiveness.
