Remarkable Events of May 25, 2025: Blues Prevail
Scheduled for Sunday, May 25, 2025, on the village square of Altenritte, the Day of Brass Music promises to be an unforgettable event. Organised by the music corps of the KSV city, this day is set to bring together music lovers of all ages.
The day's programme kicks off with an evangelical church service led by Pastor Kupski, accompanied by the KSV music corps. Following the service, open-air concerts will take centre stage, featuring two renowned music associations - the KSV music corps and the Ostwestfalen music association Bühne e.V.
Torsten Eckerle, the conductor of the KSV music corps in Altenritte since March 2025, will lead the corps in their performances. The concert program includes a variety of pieces, ranging from an Abba medley to popular march and polka pieces. The music association Bühne, founded in 1967 and based in the district of Borgentreich, will perform after the KSV music corps' open-air concert. Their conductor, Carsten Pieper, leads the ensemble with enthusiasm and skill.
The music association Bühne is not just known for its classical brass music, but also for its modern entertainment repertoire. This diversity is reflected in their performance, which will include "Under the Boardwalk", "Gonna Fly Now" from Rocky, "So schön ist Blasmusik" from the Grand Prix of Folk Music, and more.
In addition to the music, attendees can look forward to a delicious food selection. Traditional German favourites like bratwurst, currywurst, and fries will be available, along with a large cake buffet in the afternoon, accompanied by a coffee table. Cold drinks, freshly drawn, will also be offered to complement the food selection.
The fire department will also be present from around 11:00 AM with its vehicles. They will provide information about their activities, and interested individuals are welcome to volunteer with the fire department, either as an active firefighter or a passive member.
Sufficient shade will be provided for the guests during the open-air concerts, ensuring comfort for all attendees. The event organiser is KSV city e.V., located at Altenritter Str. 35, 34225 our city.
