Relocates headquarters of Spanish Subsidiary by Safilo
Safilo, the Italian eyewear powerhouse, has announced that it will be moving the headquarters of its Spanish subsidiary to Parque Norte in Madrid. The exact date of the move within March has not been specified, but the new location is set to be in the heart of the city's central business district.
The Italian company currently has fourteen subsidiaries across Europe, with thirty commercial subsidiaries and 170 independent distributors. The European market is Safilo's largest, accounting for 40.8% of the total sales, amounting to 440.4 million euros.
The new location for Safilo's Spanish subsidiary will be in the Olmo Building, which is part of the Parque Norte complex. The company has rented 900 square meters on the fourth floor of the Olmo Building.
The move comes as Safilo continues to expand its operations in Europe. The company currently operates four production plants in Europe, with three in Italy and one in Slovenia. The relocation of the Spanish subsidiary does not affect the number or location of the other European subsidiaries or production plants.
Safilo has enlisted the services of Jones Lang LaSalle to facilitate the operation. The company was previously located at number 34 on XaudarΓ³ Street in Madrid.
No further details about the reasons for the relocation have been disclosed. However, it is clear that Safilo is committed to its growth in the European market, as evidenced by its continued investment in the region.
Safilo distributes its products in approximately 130 countries worldwide, making it a global leader in the eyewear industry. The move to Parque Norte is expected to bolster the company's presence in Spain and the wider European market.
