RELEASE: Feeding Oil Country 50/50 raffle underway
The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) has launched the Feeding Oil Country 50/50 raffle to help families facing food insecurity this holiday season. The initiative offers 70 prizes, including Oilers tickets and official merchandise, while raising funds for local food charities.
Proceeds from the raffle will support Food Banks Alberta, Edmonton’s Food Bank, and Second Harvest. Food Banks Alberta works across the province to strengthen local food banks and combat hunger. Edmonton’s Food Bank directly assists families and children through food hampers and community partnerships.
Second Harvest, a national organisation, rescues surplus food from businesses and distributes it to non-profits serving vulnerable communities. The EOCF has also introduced the Pick to Win game, giving fans another chance to win prizes while contributing to the cause. Participants who buy $100 in 50/50 tickets will automatically enter the Holiday Bonus raffle. They will also receive extra credits from Century Casino and Play Alberta as part of the promotion.
The raffle aims to provide critical support to food-insecure households during the winter months. All funds raised will go toward organisations working to reduce hunger in Alberta and beyond. Tickets are available now for those looking to contribute and win prizes.
