NAB Technology Awards 2025: Recognising Pioneers in Broadcast Technology

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) has announced the opening of nominations for the 2025 NAB Technology Awards. These prestigious awards, to be presented during the NAB Show in Las Vegas from April 5-9, recognise excellence in broadcast engineering, digital leadership, and technology innovation.

Unlike the Engineering Achievement Awards, which have specific categories for radio and television, the Technology Innovation Award is a single award for all communication technologies. This award seeks technologies that have yet to be commercialized, demonstrating significant merit and exhibited at the show. The Technology Innovation Award honours advanced research and development projects, not just commercially available products or services.

The Technology Innovation Award is not limited to individuals, but can also be given to organizations that push boundaries and elevate the broadcast industry. The deadline for nominations for the Technology Innovation Award is March 3, 2025.

Meanwhile, the NAB Digital Leadership Award is given to an individual at a station, station group, or broadcast network who played a significant leadership role in the digital success of a broadcast business leveraging new and emerging technologies.

The Engineering Achievement Awards, presented in both radio and television categories, recognise individuals for outstanding accomplishments in the broadcast industry. These awards are a testament to the dedication and innovation of those who have made significant contributions to the field.
