In Bad Mergentheim, ten vehicles were found to have expired operating permits. Unfortunately, an accident involving a motorhome and two Audis (e-tron and A8) occurred on Saturday afternoon. The accident transpired when the driver of the Audi A8 following behind could not stop in time and collided with the rear of the e-tron.

The 75-year-old driver of the motorhome failed to notice an oncoming Audi e-tron while attempting to enter the state road 508. The driver of the Audi e-tron had to brake sharply to avoid a collision, but unfortunately, the impact was unavoidable. The 37-year-old driver of the Audi A8 sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by emergency services.

During the traffic checks, officers performed a total of 33 vehicle checks and 55 personal checks. Six drivers were reported for not wearing seat belts, one driver was reported for causing unnecessary noise, and another driver was found to be driving without a license. A novice driver was caught driving at almost double the permitted speed of 100 km/h, and a small motorcycle, allowed to drive at a maximum of 45 km/h, was found to reach a speed of 120 km/h on a roller dynamometer.
