In a series of incidents and accidents that occurred over the weekend, several areas in Southwest Germany were affected.

Bus and Taxi Collision in Tübingen

On Friday afternoon at around 4:55 p.m., a damage-causing accident took place on Europastraße in Tübingen. A bus and a taxi were involved in the collision, with the bus driver, aged 43, failing to notice the taxi of a 39-year-old driver. As a result, approximately 10,000 euros worth of material damage was caused. The bus driver was uninjured, but the taxi driver sustained no injuries beyond a shaken experience.

Traffic Accident in Balingen

Early Saturday morning, a serious traffic accident occurred on Waldstetter Straße in Balingen. An 18-year-old driver, who was distracted by his mobile phone, veered off the road with his Audi A6, causing a collision with a parked Kia Cee'd, and ultimately ending up on its roof. An incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on the Esslinger Straße, causing no damage to the vehicle but potentially leading to an investigation. The details of this incident are still under investigation.

Negligent Arson in Rottenburg

In Rottenburg, negligent arson occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, resulting in a response from the fire department and police. A resident reported the burning of two straw piles on an open area extending from August-Hagen-Straße, and the Rottenburg police station suspects a connection to recently observed fireworks. An immediate search for potential culprits proved unsuccessful.

Serious Accident on State Road 384

On Friday afternoon at around 5 p.m., a serious accident occurred on state road 384 near Ohmenhausen, involving a Ford and a Yamaha motorcycle. The motorcyclist, aged 30, sustained severe injuries and was taken to a clinic by the rescue service. The Ford driver remained uninjured. The L384 was closed and traffic diverted during the accident investigation by traffic police specialists.

DUI Accident in Rottenburg

A 47-year-old driver, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol with a reading of over two promille, was involved in an accident in Rottenburg. The driver sustained minor injuries and had to hand over his driver's license and provide a blood sample. The details of this incident are still under investigation.

Object Thrown at Vehicle in Deizisau

A 17-year-old is expected to be investigated for dangerous interference with road traffic after throwing an object at a passing vehicle in Deizisau early Saturday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
