Recommendation for a carcinogen-related worker safety directive has been requested from the Commission, aiming to safeguard employees from related hazards.
In a series of disturbing incidents, an unidentified man is suspected of committing three sexual offenses against young women in Hamburg and Neumünster between 2020 and 2024. The police department in Hamburg is urgently seeking information to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.
The first incident occurred at Neumünster Central Station in Schleswig-Holstein in November 2021, where the suspect harassed a 17-year-old girl and followed her on her way home. Further investigations linked the suspect to this crime, as well as two more sexual offenses from 2020 and 2021 based on secure DNA evidence.
In a separate incident in August 2020, the unknown suspect approached a 19-year-old in Hamburg-Billstedt. The perpetrator intimidated the woman and went with her to the basement area of an apartment building, where he committed sexual acts against her.
More recently, in July 2023, the suspect attacked a 19-year-old in Hamburg-Wandsbek. He spoke German with a strong accent during the attack and wore a black sweat jacket, white T-shirt, green cargo pants, and a thick silver necklace. A composite sketch of the suspect was published after this incident.
The suspect is described as a man about 1.80 meters tall, between 25 and 30 years old, with a stocky build, broad shoulders, slight overweight, dark blond hair and beard, uneven skin, broad nose, dark eyes with pronounced eyelashes, and an oval skin peculiarity in the middle of the forehead.
The police department in Hamburg is treating all three crimes as connected and have assigned the investigations to the Specialist Department for Sexual Offenses (LKA 42). The original content for this information came from the police department, transmitted via news aktuell.
After the perpetrator let the women go, they each filed criminal complaints at their respective police stations. For media inquiries, contact Patrick Schluse at 040 4286-56215, email [email protected], or visit www.polizei.hamburg.
The Hamburg Regional Court has ordered a public appeal with a composite sketch of the suspect, as the public appeal from last year did not lead to the identification of a suspect. Tips about the person depicted can be given to the police department tip line at 040 4286-56789 or at any police station.
The police department urges anyone with information to come forward and contact them to help bring the suspect to justice and ensure the safety of the community. More information about the case can be found at: https://www.presseportal.de/blaulicht/pm/6337/5847653.
