Rebels in C'garh, India: Soldier Killed, Three Injured in Deadly Maoist Bomb Explosion

In a tragic turn of events during an anti-Naxal operation in Chhattisgarh's Indravati National Park, an incident involving an IED blast occurred in the Bijapur district of Bastar on Sunday. The blast resulted in the death of a jawan named Dinesh Nag and injuries to three others.

The deceased jawan, Dinesh Nag, was killed when he inadvertently stepped on an IED planted by Maoists. The three injured jawans were evacuated from the encounter site and shifted to the district hospital in Bijapur. As of the report, the three injured jawans are said to be out of danger.

The 'Maoist corridor' between Mahararshtra and Telangana passes through Indravati National Park in Bijapur district in south Bastar of Chhattisgarh. This is reportedly the biggest cash haul recovered in a Maoist dump in Chhattisgarh.

In addition to the cash, the arms and ammunition recovered from the Naxal dump included INSAS rifles, country made guns, pistols, revolvers, magazines of AK 47, SLR, INSAS and .303, detonators, pressure cooker IEDs, a laptop, and a walkie talkie.

The number of security personnel slain by Naxals in Bastar this year so far has increased to 20 due to this incident. Chhattisgarh chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai has condemned the killing of the jawan and stated that the jawan's sacrifice will not go waste. He also expressed his sympathies to the family of the deceased jawan.

In the last eight months, security forces have launched at least four major counterinsurgency operations in the Indravati National Park area, resulting in the death of 44 Maoists. The incident took place in a forest near the village of Gobra under Manpur region in east Chhattisgarh district of Gariaband.

It is unfortunate that the search results do not provide information about the identity of the Jawan killed in 2021 during the anti-Naxal operation in the Indravati National Park area in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh. The state government and the security forces continue their efforts to combat the Naxalites and maintain peace and security in the region.
