Still, Real remain one of the frontrunners and see the Mallorca match as a chance to bounce back and steady the ship.
Injuries have hit hard: Camavinga, Carvajal, Mendy, Alaba, and Militão are all out, while Rüdiger is suspended. Even so, the attack is thriving thanks to Kylian Mbappé, who leads the La Liga scoring chart with 27 goals.
Mallorca: A Tough Path With Hope Still Alive
Mallorca come into the game short on depth and form. Javier Aguirre’s side are chasing a top-eight finish but currently sit 10th, outside the European spots due to goal difference.
After a narrow 0–1 loss to Girona, they bounced back with a 2–1 win over Valladolid, but their recent record (just 2 wins in 7 matches) raises concerns. Key midfielders are unavailable, along with one of their main leaders, Dani Rodríguez. In attack, all hopes rest on Vedat Muriqi, who’s netted 7 goals this season.
Prediction: A Game of Control, Not Spectacle
Given the standings and squad situations, this match isn’t likely to be a thriller. Expect Real Madrid to dominate possession and likely score in the first half. Mallorca will try to sit deep and counter, but taking points at the Bernabéu seems like a long shot.
