Headline: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Highlights India's Self-Reliance and Technological Progress During Visit to Raphe mPhibr
In a significant visit to Raphe mPhibr's manufacturing facility in Noida, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasised India's focus on self-reliance and innovation in defence technology. Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Singh toured the advanced manufacturing of defence equipment and drones.
During his address, Singh highlighted India's growing technological capabilities, particularly in the defence sector. He pointed to India's significant progress in drone technology, an area that has become crucial in modern warfare. The Minister praised the advanced systems such as swarm drones and precision-guided missile drones that will bolster India's defence capabilities.
Singh expressed pride in India's technological progress, stating that the armed forces have swiftly adopted tools made by Indian youth and industries. He underscored the importance of self-reliance in defence, stating that it is necessary for India to stand on its own feet.
The Defence Minister also recalled the international sanctions that followed India's 1998 nuclear tests under Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. However, he emphasised that India has never accepted defeat, despite facing challenges from major global powers. He affirmed India's resilience, stating that the country has become self-sufficient in the production of drones, a sector once dependent on imports.
Singh highlighted Operation Sindoor, which showcased India's growing technological capabilities. While the drones used in Operation Sindoor were developed by an Israeli company, the Minister pointed to three cutting-edge products developed in 14 months, in collaboration with Raphe mPhibr and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), as part of Operation Sindoor.
The Minister admired the cutting-edge infrastructure at Raphe mPhibr, including the Engine Test BED, metal additive manufacturing facility, and furnaces capable of reaching temperatures of 2800°C. He stated that the advanced composite polymer manufacturing center, payload drop drones, swarm drones, and precision-guided Missile drones are state-of-the-art and highly advanced, reliable equipment that will further enhance India's defence capability.
Operation Sindoor is a story of the bravery of India's armed forces, self-reliant India, and the innovation of Indian scientists and youth. It underscores India's indomitable spirit in the face of international sanctions and technology denial regimes imposed by major global powers.
As India continues to make strides in various technological fields, including medical, agriculture, IT, and defence, the visit to Raphe mPhibr's facility underscores the country's commitment to self-reliance and innovation in defence technology.
