Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 introduces Solid Snake and faster updates
Rainbow Six Siege has unveiled its plans for Year 11, bringing major changes to the game. A new operator, Solid Snake, will join the roster on 3 March, following a teaser released in January. The year will also introduce faster updates, map overhauls, and fresh gameplay modes.
Season 1 kicks off with modernised versions of three classic maps: Coastline, Villa, and Oregon. Players will also see a shift in how updates roll out, with new content arriving every three weeks instead of the previous schedule. The season will also mark the end of the Dual Front game mode.
The full reveal trailer for Solid Snake's arrival dropped recently, confirming his playable debut on 3 March. His inclusion follows a brief teaser in January that hinted at his addition. Season 2 will bring even more changes. Operator Dokkaebi is set for a remaster, complete with a new primary weapon. A brand-new casino map, inspired by *Rainbow Six: Vegas*, will also make its debut. Ranked play will undergo a major overhaul, and console players will finally gain official keyboard and mouse support.
The updates span new operators, maps, and gameplay tweaks. Solid Snake's arrival on 3 March will be one of the biggest additions, while faster content drops aim to keep the experience fresh. Console players, in particular, will benefit from expanded input options in Season 2.
