In a recent ruling by the Karymsky District Court, Russian Railways has been ordered to pay an undisclosed employee 41,800 rubles to purchase medication and compensate for moral damage amounting to 600,000 rubles. The court's decision comes following a work-related accident that occurred two years ago on company premises.
The unfortunate incident took place on a railway section between Uryulga and Zubaัะตvo stations, where the employee was climbing a pole as per the orders of the acting electric mechanic. However, during the task, the employee was struck by electricity, leading to severe injuries that left him bedridden.

The employee, whose name is not disclosed in the available information, has since received the compensation and the necessary funds for medication.
The court's ruling marks a significant step towards ensuring the safety and well-being of employees in the workplace. It serves as a reminder to all employers to prioritise the health and safety of their workers, and to adhere strictly to labor safety requirements to prevent such unfortunate incidents from occurring in the future.
