Rail Track Obstruction at Tostedt: Identity of Stone Placers on Sunday Revealed
In a concerning incident that took place on Sunday, August 31, 2025, unknown individuals placed stones on the railway tracks near Tostedt, Germany. This act of vandalism posed a significant risk to both perpetrators and bystanders, as well as causing delays, property damage, and potential derailment.
The incident occurred on the railway line between Bremen and Hamburg, near a local sports club and a road bridge in Tostedt. At around 14:20 and 14:54, a Metronom train and a freight train respectively ran over the stones, causing disruptions.
As a result of this dangerous interference with railway traffic, five trains experienced delays of 21 minutes each. The Tostedt police were present at the scene and removed more stones from the tracks, but no suspects were found.
